Story
This one goes out to Tone Abet and Scott Morrison,
Despite your efforts to 'tone down' the issue of Asylum Seekers within our country and label them as illegals, there are a lot of people who are willing to stand up for them as individuals who should be welcomed into our lucky country.
The ASRC has been fighting for Asylum Seekers for 13 years and the work they do has saved countless lives.
I am taking part in Run 4 Refugee to raise awareness and much needed funds for Asylum Seekers and the resource centre. Make a difference by supporting my run with a donation. ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
