Story
Hello world! I'm taking part in Run 4 Refugees as part of the Melbourne Marathon and hoping to raise much needed funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), an organisation I have enormous respect for that is fighting for the lives of people in dire need of support and acceptance in our society.
For 13 years now the ASRC has been fighting for the human rights of asylum seekers, with over 7000 people being provided with sanctuary, support and hope, and thousands of people having won their freedom through the work of their incredible group of staff and volunteers.
Please think about supporting my run with a donation. All donations big or small will make a difference in the lives of some of Australia's most vulnerable people! Regardless of your political standpoint on the issue, asylum seekers here and now need food, warmth and shelter that is made possible by YOUR donation.

$100 Will fund crisis support to 20 asylum seeker- families for a week

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
